Number types

Buying
Numbers → Buy a number, pick a country, then a range; live inventory shows six numbers per range with the monthly price and any setup fee. The first month (and setup, where charged) is taken from your balance at purchase. Numbers renew monthly on the day you bought them; keep the balance above the renewal amount or the number is suspended and released after 14 days.
Regulation (KYC)
Each range shows what the local regulator requires:
- none, activates instantly (UK, US, Canada, most EU countries, Australia);
- address, one document proving an address in the country (utility bill, company registration); typically approved the same day (Germany, France, Switzerland, Cyprus, Poland mobile);
- regulator, we file with the regulator on your behalf and tell you the timeline before you pay (UAE, Singapore).
Documents are sent once to [email protected] and apply to every number on the account. A number waiting for documents shows documents needed on the Numbers screen.
Routing
Route on any number sets where inbound calls go:
- SIP trunk on this account, rings your PBX through the trunk;
- External SIP URI, e.g.
[email protected]for AI voice platforms; - Forward to a phone number, any PSTN number in E.164; outbound rates apply to the forwarded leg.
Changes apply on the next call. Time-of-day rules, failover after N seconds and custom SIP headers are available on request while the routing screen grows.
Inbound calls carry the dialled number in the SIP To header and the caller in From, so a PBX can branch on either.
Releasing
Release stops the number immediately and returns it to inventory; the current month is not refunded.
Porting in
Fully electronic in the US, Canada, UK, Australia, New Zealand, the Netherlands, Switzerland and Spain; manual but supported elsewhere we sell numbers. Send the numbers and your latest invoice or a letter of authorisation to [email protected]. We open the port, chase rejections, and cut over on the day you choose; routing is configured in advance so the number lands on your trunk the moment it moves.
Porting out
Numbers you buy are yours to take elsewhere. Ask support for the porting details (account number and PIN where the country uses them). There are no port-out fees.
